I am presently collecting my thoughts about my life of the past 50 years ,and yes Barney, my first grand child has been given an Italian name.....stay tuned...Left Piedmont in the summer of 1959 to attend the University of Hawaii with Barney. Came back to the bay area in 1963 and worked for SFO Helicopter for the next 7 years then hired on with TWA working for them for 32 years which included working in Saudi Arabia for TWA for 18 months.Retired from TWA/AA in 2001 as the Regional Cargo Sales Manager. I worked part time at our local Ace hardware store but now I am fully retired and traveling the world with my lovely wife. I met Mary while working for TWA and both of us, including our children, have enjoyed traveling through out the world. I have been very fortunate to have so many good High School friends.....Life has been good.Mary and I are continuing to travel and have added Cuba,Russia,Portugal,Spain,Italy(Cinque Terra)
Thirty Years Later:
July 2012 We took a trip to Dubai and saw all the GRAND places
in the UAE... Flew Emirates to Cape Town, SA and had a wonderful down under experience seeing the sights of that area and touring the peninsula visiting Penguins colonies and being at the tip of Africa at Cape Hope.
On to East Africa and took a 5 day Safari and saw all the BIG FIVE animals plus many more.....also went to Zimbabwe to visit Victoria Falls and it was exciting..However, the most exciting thing was to see it by Helicopter and it was not only exciting, it was breathtaking. Above the Falls and to see the beautiful Rainbows eclipsing over the Falls was a lifetime adventure. Life has been GOOD for the Lenigks.... We are planning our 40th somewhere exotic...anyone want to JOIN US ?

We celebrated our 32nd on the Canal's of France. Mary and I and 3 other couples rented a 56' canal boat in Meginnes and navigated our boat through the beautiful countryside of France. The wines of Chablis and the food were out of this world. We would recommend this to anyone, even crewing our boat wasn't difficult. We're on our way to Budapest, Prague and Berlin in a few weeks and will miss you at the reunion at Wente Winery. Our bucket list is getting shorter, but there are so many places to see and so little time.. Stay tuned :))

I don't know what Barney is talking about this "ALEX" person.....I know nothing....Ich weisse nichts....My lips are sealed.... I must say, I also have many fond memories from Piedmont High and I am very fortunate to be associated with many of my High School buddies still....

Mary and I went to Morocco June, 2019 and really enjoyed it. Previously, we did a river cruise in Russia from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
We also enjoyed South Africa and Cuba a few years back.Mary and I are continuing to enjoy our travels and having checked off many destination on our Bucket list.I recently had the opportunity to Travel to the Bahamas, Abaco Islands, in particular, the Island of Man of War Key to help one of our good friends, Nancy and Steve Ozard, help them Repair damages to their vacation home.We were assisted by the Samaritan Purse Group who helped clear the property of Scattered Debris including several fallen Palm Trees.We were flown to Marsh Harbor in a DC3 out of Florida owned and operated by MFI,Missionary Flights International who have also been very active in other Hurricane and Earthquake rescue Missions in the past years.Then took one of the Ferries which was sunk but refloated to the Island.It was very heart warming to see the Island community come together and dig themselves out of the unbelievable Devastation that occurred by the recent Hurricane.

I have been so lucky to see so many countries but would like to see the Seychelles and Madagascar! Alaska is next on our list then Back to Japan.
