Skipped college and joined the army. Toured all the garden spots the government felt were interesting in the Far East.

Married Heather in 1968, divorced 1984, we were re-married in 2003. Lived in Australia (Heather's home) in 1981-82.

Figured if the Chinese all put just one little bit of beef on their rice an Australian cattle ranch would be successful, but I was a bit early.

Worked as a real estate salesman, developer and builder in Oakland & Berkeley until 1996, when I moved to Boonville to rehabilitate the Ferrington Vineyard. Did end up with sheep and beeves, though.

President, Board of Directors, Oakland Boys & Girls Clubs, 1995-96, and remain involved as a trustee of this worthy organization.

You mean old what's-his-name picking his nose and wiping it on his tie? And the English teacher who though I was an idiot and kept asking me if I understood the words he was using? Or the time a group of us made a home-made bomb, took it to the cemetery, and, when it refused to explode, took turns peeing on it as it smoldered? I won't go on.
